Conferences, summer schools and acknowledging the best people and organizations of the year in third sector are the main events of NENO.

Together with Baltic-American Partnership Program NENO has organized national conferences for Estonian nonprofits every two years and it attracts hundreds of participants.

Main topics of the events have been chosen based on the current issues of the civil society that need attention of the publicity. Identity of the nonprofits was discussed at the first conference in 1999, conference in 2001 analyzed different visions and developments in non-governmental sector. Third conference was on Good governance in 2003 and last topic in 2005 is "Small country, vast society".

Approximate number of participants is 350 including representatives of the biggest nonprofits, umbrella organizations, media, public sector, politicians and entrepreneurs.
